"Don't bother going to The Metropolitan if you're not a fan of painfully slow service, particulary if you have young children who don't like waiting 30mins in between each course. This was the first and last visit for me after I went for a nice relaxing family afternoon and came out feeling really angry. It seemed that other customers accepted the slow service as normal, as well as the staff who never once apologised. When our male waiter got our dessert order mixed up, he decided to shout across the room instead of coming up to the table and insisted it was our mix up. In the end, we just accepted what was brought to us to save any further embarrasment and a further half hour wait. All I can say is nice decor, shame about the lousy service." -
