"Loch Fyne was absolutely not worth bothering with - expensive, very small portions and bland in every way." - sylvia wood, Manchester (4/2/09 - visited on a Saturday evening)

"Visited Loch Fyne Didsbury Christmas Eve for a birthday celebration and the meal was absolutely terrible. The restaurant was understaffed and we had to wait ages for drinks etc. The food was even worse. I ordered a £44 Seafood Platter "hot and cold", all of which was cold except for the mussels. The shellfish was tasteless and of the same consistency as rubber. The shellfish shells were limp and the flesh soggy. Prawns, langoustines and crayfish all had eggs on their underbelly and the scallops where still frozen. For an establishment that 'specializes' in seafood I find this unacceptable. We did complain and received a free basic dessert but after spending in excess of £140 on food and 1 bottle of wine this was simply not good enough and we went home still starving as we did not eat the egg laden shellfish.
